I'm Baaack
Sort of...
Rough Times
These past months, nearly a year were extremely tough. My immediate family had some serious health problems, there were some deaths in my extended, but close family, and even I had a stint in the hospital and I was laid off as the company decided to outsource... The hardest situation, by far, would be my battle for my son. His abusive dad as taken it to a new level and decided to sue for full custody. I've had to hire an attorney and that has put me in a serious economic crisis as again, I'm now searching for work and living off of unemployment. To top that off, not only has my son's dad been abusive, he's now been doing drugs while driving around Mikhail, (my boys name.) So at this point I am at a loss since my son is old enough to speak up and has done so explaining everything to his lawyer and the lawyer to his judge and yet, she's still allowing him visitation until the trial date next month... I have no idea what to do about this, I'm at a loss.
That's what's been going on with me and I wanted to let you know that I have not forgotten about any of you nor have I fully forsaken my writing. It's just been placed in the back burner for obvious reasons at the moment.
Moving Forward
So with the ugliness out of the way, how are all of you? I hope you have been well. Here's an update on what's to come.
I have placed the last book in the Shifter Fates series on a hiatus. I've found it a bit difficult to focus on what I'm aiming for--an epic completion to the series--and am in the midst of writing the first book in the Governed Mates series. The first book is going to be entitled Stockholm Syndrome. It is Paranormal Romance, not erotica. Each book will be a standalone so they can be read in any order. I plan on passing out numerous ARCs so if you are interested please email me at [email protected] and let me know you'd like to be one of the reviewers. I have softly aimed for this to be completed within a month, depending on the bumps in the road known as my life. :)
The sequel to Tiny Tragedies has also been placed on hold for a bit due to me trying to decide how I want this book to end. The ending will decide what path the next one takes so I have to make sure it's done correctly.
Mate-Staken Identity
One last bit of information. I have updated this book with an epilogue that I am adding to this newsletter. This will give you a clue as to what's to come in the next book which has no title at the moment. But Micah, Shane, and Jessiah's story is far from over. It's short, but I hope you enjoy it.
Epilogue
He was lost in memories. Lost in past experiences; caught between the past and the present.
So many centuries had past and yet when he reminisced it was as if it were yesterday. As if she were still there.
Every time he closed his eyes; each time he dreamt, it was of her. Of them. It was inescapable.
And it was over.
Vaguely he heard the mating reaching its crescent. Knew what it meant, what would happen when the bond was solidified. And yet until the bright flash blinded him, it hadn’t seemed real.
It’s done now brother.
No, brother, Tiberius responded, it’s only just begun.
